The most trustworthy athletic tape is Hampton Adam’s. Any other brands don’t hold up as well.

Works well for preventative purposes

I purchased 3 boxes of the black tape for my football team. I use it for taping wrists, fingers and ankles and spatting cleats and this stuff is one of the best! Been taping for athletics for about 19 years and haven’t had an issue yet. It’s durable, rips like athletic tape is supposed to and the adhesion is almost perfect. Went through a whole box already and it’s been solid! Was surprised how inexpensive the black tape was compared to the white so I went with it (plus it looks better IMO). The tape holds well even when my players are sweating and going through vigorous movements. Never has it rolled up when applied to a tape job.If you’re being active and the tape gets a little loose or slightly comes undone due to the sweat and movements thats NORMAL. If you tape something like an ankle and it’s starts to unravel from putting on a sock(or something similar) then (newsflash) you’re not taping firm enough! Not sure about all of the bad reviews but it almost kept me away from buying it. Glad I went with my gut and purchased it! These reviews almost kept me away from a quality product for the price. I’ll be buying a couple more boxes soon! Highly recommend!

Looks and feels great. Easy to use and work with.

Produced is as described.

To wrap my daughters ankle for playing soccer the adhesion is great
Llewellyn Eichmann
Works great
Nicole Stevens
It’s a bit weaker than other tapes so you might have to wrap a bit tighter but it rips well. No need for scissors

Product as described. Little stronger tape than I have used in the past which is great.

I use this athletic tape to tape up my ankle for additional support during workouts. It is not as sticky as other athletic tapes I’ve used in the past, but it has good enough adhesion for its purpose and leaves very minimal residue unlike other stickier tapes. Overall, I am satisfied with this product and would recommend.

Works great! Sticks well on me (without ripping my skin off) and my husband (who has oily skin).

I use this tape primarily to support my wrists for some of the more gymnastic sides of Crossfit. Using it for extra support for handstands and for ring movements is really helpful. The tape is exactly what you are looking for in terms of support, a single layer isn't incredibly sticky but when wrapped it sticks well to itself and provides the support you need while still being able to be removed after a workout. Given that this is a 32 pack of 45-foot rolls, it is certainly best for personal trainers and situations where you are using it on a daily basis on multiple people.Overall, very happy with the "Hampton Adams (32 Pack) Black Bulk Athletic Tape - 1.5" x 45 feet Per Roll - NO Sticky Residue & Easy to Tear - Perfect for Sports Athletes, Trainers & First Aid Injury Wrap: Fingers Ankles Wrist".

great tape. Works extremely well. great value. Love this.

I am a kinesiologist, so I have used this type of tape plenty over the course of the last 20 years. This tape is certainly up there in quality, and I would not hesitate to use it for sports injuries, or even as a restrictive tape for the prevention of injuries or aggravation of injuries. It has a nice stiffness to it, and will do well to limit movement if you are someone that requires that to continue though activity with reducing pain or furthering an injury. The black is also a nice attractive color that goes with everything, and looks very professional. The set is a great size, and will last a very long time for casual use, and even if you wrap every day, you should have it a good long while. Good quality product for sure.

Nice quality athletic tape. These are flexible and adheres well. It tears easily and this box will last awhile. The adhesive feels a tad bit sticky than the current athletic tape I have. The is a good supply to have. The color is fine but it does collect dust/skin cells which becomes visible in the fabric of the tape.

This style and fabric of wrap can be used for more than just ankles and elbows! It can be used to hold things in place, as a means of securing items to other items, as a temporary handlebar grip for a bicycle, as a tournaquit in the event of an emergency, and for a variety of camping and off grid uses. Great to have a roll or two in your survival bug out bag as well. I like things that serve more than one purpose, and this is one such item! the quantity is awesome!
Mabelle Labadie
This is the best athletic tape I have used. It is very supportive and strong but still easy to tear. These are larger than normal rolls and last longer. I keep an extra in my gym bag and lend it out frequently. Everyone is very impressed with the quality. It works great for both preventative wraps as well as for injuries. The best part about the tape is that it stays in place, but doesn’t leave a sticky residue on my skin. I am very pleased and will be buying it again, although with the large multipacks, it won’t be for awhile. I would recommend it!

I use lots of different kinds of tape around the house and farm, but I didn't have any of this type of cloth tape with adhesive so I thought I would try this brand. It sticks okay but it's not super-sticky. That's fine with me. I used some to wrap the end of an air hose that's dragged in the dirt and exposed to the weather 24/7 and so far it hasn't peeled off, so it's doing its job just fine. I cannot report on its long term performance yet, but I will revise my rating and give additional details if I think this tape deserves a higher or lower rating. My wife has a wrist injury so she will probably use some too, and if she does I will describe her experience and opinion in an update.

This is hands down the best athletic tape I have ever used. If you regularly use athletic tape, this is the one you want. The tape is significantly more supportive than tape you may find from a company like Johnson & Johnson and holds up through sports or activities. The Hampton Adams tape is true to its word and can be torn without scissors.

This is hard stiff athletic tape not to be confused with flexible kinesiology tape. This is used for ankle or wrist sprains to stabilize and immobilize. Great quality!

We ordered this with the intent of stocking up our med kits. I didn't realize initially when I ordered this that it was 32 rolls (that was my bad - I misread it as "3"). That's okay, though! You can always use athletic tape! Not only did I stock our med kits, but I stocked the neighbor, my brother's house, and 2 coworkers! It adheres well and comes off clean, as advertised. Great price for this much tape!

Note: This product is athletic tape not kinesiology tape.I have both athletic tape and kinesiology tape around my house. They look similar and are good in different ways. Athletic tape is not stretchy like kinesiology tape. This particular brand is a really good athletic tape.Recently, I used this tape for a toe injury. I needed to keep the toe from bending at all while it healed. I didn't need scissors to cut it to length which is definitely a plus. The tape stayed put for days. When I peeled it off there was no residue left behind and my skin was not irritated at all. Highly recommend!

A good bulk deal. It’s important to note the difference between this and k-tape:Kinesiology tape pulls on the skin around an injured joint or muscle to help reduce inflammation from the area which minimizes pain. It’s more durable and can last days. It’s stretchy and moves with your body, which can be good or bad because there isn’t much support. To be effective it needs to be applied in a specific pattern.Athletic tape (like this product) has less stretch and is used for support. It’s usually applied around joints to relieve pain. In kinesiology it’s usually pre-measured to the pattern and area, whereas this can be any length and is cheaper despite having to use more. This won’t last long with sweat/water. You’ll probably have to replace it every day or two. Depending how thick you wrap it, the mobility is a tad limited. Both serve their purpose and have pros and cons, just know the difference before committing to a box this big!

This lightweight, yet strong, athletic tape leaves no sticky tape residue on the skin, yet adheres well for secure support. Easy to tear – no scissors needed.
Veda Gleason
Great value. Love the adhesive it doesn’t peel off easy once you start sweating. Very durable sports tape.
Samir Schiller
Good quantity box for a place of business or physical activity gym but not really for individual homes unless you use these a lot. They really are for one time use and do not re-stick like some of other wraps that you could use. I really like something like this for wrist support for aches and pains. I do like that these are cotton material versus the more plasticky wraps out there. You sure do get a lot on one roll.

I find these Hampton athletic tape to be of good strength. The tape is not elastic.I taped my ankle and left for work; by the end of my work shift, some of the tape peeled away from the skin (especially the part of the tape that was not reinforced by an overlap of the previous tape). One remedy I have for this is to use a tape adhesive spray, which helps the tape stay in contact with my skin for a longer time. For the most part, the tape sticks well on its own. When I removed the tape, it does not tear away my skin. Also, I felt no stickiness on my skin from where the tape was applied. I did feel some of my hairs being pulled as I removed the tape - this didn't bother me.I like that I can easily rip the tape without having to use scissors, and that no "strings" of tape remained because the tape didn't fully rip from the roll.I did not smell any odd odors as I sniffed several rolls of the tape.Note: in the video I made, the tape sometimes wrinkled. When I apply tape, I make sure not to have wrinkles; but, I was in a hurry and wanted the video to be short, so I just left the wrinkled tape alone.Overall, this athletic tape provides good support for my ankle.

We’ve gone through several brands of tape, never being satisfied. This brand is the best!! Our daughter plays competitive soccer and this is the ONLY brand to hold up. Don’t have scissors, guess what no problem, this tears beautifully. Game just went into extra time, guess what no problem, the tape is still sticking. Buy this tape, you won’t regret it!

Even if the gym is closed, these are still great for wrapping the Hands, Wrists, Fingers, Ankles, etc. if your gym is open though, I’d highly recommend this big box! It has 32 roles that are 1.5 inches wide and have 45 feet of tape. They stick well but, they don’t seem to leave me with gooey glue all over me afterwards. They’re also Hypoallergenic, Latex-Free and they’re infused with Zinc Oxide to keep the skin protected even more. I’d definitely recommend them.
Brett De Bruyn
This box of Hampton Adams athletic tape(s) certainly holds a lot of tape! 32 rolls. At a bit over $69 for the box, which is a bit pricey, but when you break it down it's just over $2.15 a piece. If you purchase the 3-roll pack, it's $13.99 and that's over $4 a piece. So this bulk box is the better bargain IF you will be using it regularly, as I will be.I needed something to wrap my hands when I'm boxing the heavy bag. Even when I use gloves, I still tear my knuckles. This tape will be perfect for wrapping my knuckles. It comes away from the roll very easily. It's simple to wrap. It clings well. No slipping. I can tear the end and then secure without the need for scissors. Pulling it off is fairly easy too. Now it's going to pull your skin a little, but it's not painful. It doesn't leave any residue at all. This could also be used for wound treatment. If you needed to put a gauze pad over a wound and then wrap it to secure it, this would work well for that too.32 rolls will be enough to last me a while as this is a bulk order. I'm happy with it.Thank you for reading my reviews; I hope this helps with your shopping decision!

This is good athletic tape. Not too strong adhesive, but strong enough to hold. There is ALOT in the box. It will take along time to use it up
Donald Bakabulindi
This is my second review for this brand of tape... Is that allowed? We loved it so much in the smaller count that I finally ordered the larger box since my husband uses it for his ankles weekly while playing basketball. He likes it and his ankles have been safe. Highly recommend!
Kaden Erdman
They are bigger than the average sized sports as advertised. Good quality and surprisingly easy to tear and durable. Got the 32 pack since i share my sport tape quite a bit and do not have to worry about it for a long time. Definitely thinking of reordering in the future
Oluwunmi Olutola
Easy to tear and great quality.

I use it as a brace for my knees, for tennis, it holds up for my match & more

The Hampton Adams (32 Pack) Black Bulk Athletic Tape is as good as it gets! I am an avid weight lifter even though I am getting up there in age. My wrists have taken a lot of abuse over the years. Using this athletic tape on my wrists every time I workout has allowed me to continue lifting weights pain free. This tape has a slight flex to it, along with being very supportive. When I workout, the first thing I do is tape both of my wrists. I used to be a competitive lifter back in the day. I never thought I would need to add additional support on my wrists. I now know better. Luckily, this athletic tape is so supportive that I can continue lifting weights, even though the poundage's are quite a bit lighter then when I was younger.I used to use an ace bandage type wrist support a few years ago. This worked good for a while, but eventually was not enough support. I was waking up at night with pain in my wrists and forearms. I now sleep great and no longer have lingering pain. This athletic tape can be used for multiple areas of the body. It has worked great for me.
Martina Stracke
This quality athletic tape works well. This tape can be used for a variety of uses. It is comparable to medical tape but don't confuse it with kinesthetic tape. Having used both kinesthetic tape has more stretch to it but it is also for a different purpose. This athletic tape is designed for support and shorter uses than kinesthetic tape. Alternatively you can use this tape long term on sports equipment or bags for repairs as well as for injuries. The tape is easily to remove without leaving a mess and the 32 pack is enough to last for a long time for an individual or provide a decent amount for a group. I would definitely recommend this athletic tape.

Fantastic tape for Jiu Jitsu! Best I have found so far. Holds up like rock climbing tape. Easy to tear into smaller strips. Will last all three hours and still be in place. I find it best to soak the tape off in the shower after for easy removal. No sticky residue ever though. Just a quality hits tape all around!
Troy Nimukunda
This tape is the best I’ve used for my football players. We’ve used Cramer, Mueller, Johnson & Johnson, and this. And this is the best in my opinion out of the 4.
