This cold pack is kind of specific in that it’s a little stiffer but can be perfect for some needs. My husband slipped during the last ice storm and landed on the stone steps and badly hurting the side-ish of his back. This cold pack was perfect when he was sitting up because it stayed up (didn’t squish down) and it has two two creases allowing it to bend or wrap around right where he needed it. I put a hand towel around the cold pack so it was not too cold against him. Coldness lasted a couple hours. Could’ve used it to lay down on but he liked the softer Colpac one for laying on. Both of these cold packs really helped him, along with a third one we had at home for around the clock ice packs to reduce inflammation. No buyers remorse and it came in the very next day, thank you Amazon and Hampton Adams!

gave 4 stars because have not used for heat application. remains soft when frozen, was not to cold initially, remained cold much longer than any other product i have tried at at 45 minutes was still cold. note- could not register for warranty as required site was not valid

This pack stays cold for a long time, but it freezes stiff and is not as comfortable as I would like. The size is good and the 2 Velcro straps work well.

Holds the Cold for a Long Time

I guess I just didn’t realize how big this was, it doesn’t fit in my microwave without folding it and takes longer to heat that the recommended time. I have a big 1200 watt microwave. I don’t know how long it will last since I only recently got it. Hopefully it will hold up well and once I get the hang of how long it needs to heat and maybe stopping in the middle of heating to fold it in the opposite direction I’ll be happier. If you realize how big it is and don’t mind that it’s too big for the microwave you will probably be happy with it. It will cover all of your back.
Dina Fahey
Comfortabl. Becomes really hot if you want it to

Wish that I could keep this ice pack on, for hours...works very well for pain...stays cold

Great product

This aging physical therapist needed a new ice pack for self-care. It’s a great size, retains coldness well, and conforms to the body well. Thanks Hampton Adams! Karen Martin Summers, PT, DPT, GCFP

I have tried several different reusable cold/hot therapeutic packs. This one is far superior to the gel "bags" which get too stiff to conform to limbs. It is built to last and doesn't get "leaky" with age. I have had several gel packs break open and spill their contents. I highly recommend this product and the company, Hampton Adams, that stands behind it.
Frankie Kirabira
Very well made compress. Was a big bigger than I expected but it covers large areas and works well!
Jolayemi Abodunrin
Blissful relief for sciatica.
Gunnar Goodwin
I was very pleased; I wanted a gel ice pad comparable to what my PT used on my back during therapy sessions- it did not get hard in the freezer and it was large enough to cover my entire upper as well as lower back areas- great buy!
Nadia Mohamed
Comfortable and durable
Angela Tusiime
Perfectly works and is still malleable after freezing.
Kelvin Mwesige
Works great, stays cold a long time, big size covers a lot of area.

Found on the Vine Program, I had an injured elbow that I was treating with heat and cold. I saw this pack and figured I would give it a try. Being able to heat or freeze the same pack makes things a lot simpler when you're treating an injury. The size of the pack allows use on nearly any area, and the pack feels durable, so consider this pack if you're active and tend to have a lot of injuries.
Erich Huels
These are great. The size is fantastic and big enough to cover shoulders front and back. Also large enough for your back. They help minimize the pain from surgery but no Ice pack will get rid of the pain after surgery only time will do that.
Sophia King
Very comfortable and good coverage area. Very pleased with this so far.
Harbhajan Mitter
This is huge pack. We tried cold, it is pretty good. Material is also very durable, I think it can be warmed in microwave for warm therapy
Kubra Ismail
Great for keeping swelling down in areas with large incisions.

post knee surgery after injury. flexible enough to situate comfortably
Nelle Kutch
Used after having knee replacements.
Ifunanya Egbochukwu
I have only used this for an ice pack and it worked great. It is the perfect size for larger areas. It is made well and won't burst or leak. It can be used for heat, I just haven't had the need. it is reusable, and great quality. It is the perfect ice pack.
Kaitlyn Cummerata
I really like the ice pack; large enough to ice my knee after meniscus surgery.
Brielle Torp
Made in USA, Gets very, very cold, so place a towel or pillowcase between it and exposed skin to avoid frostbite! Stays cold a very long time. Large size makes it easy to calm sore knee, foot etc. Made in USA!
Tom Quitzon
Perfect size for lumbar issues
Percy Monahan
This ice pack was very easy to use and the directions were very straightforward! The sizing of the pack was perfect for a sore/inflated muscle and you could wrap the package around your arm or wrist as well. I used the ice pack for a hot therapy session because my shoulder was sore, and I microwaved the ice pack instead of heating up water and letting it soak up the heat so the hot pack wasn't evenly distributed. That's why I gave it a 4 star, but I ended up soaking it in the hot water afterwards and it worked great! This product worked and was easy to use.
Greg Hunt
Liked idea of a large pad. It has a separator, butdoes not conform to shoulder as I expected. Only after it gets softened up. Made very well. Does get very solid when it is removed from freezer.
Domenic Berge
This is a great cold pack. Haven't ever used it for a heat therapy yet, but works great for cold. We've used it on ourselves or just use it to keep things cool in a cooler. Haven't had any leaks or issues. Seem very durable and built to least.
Randi Mitchell
I had such bad cramps during that time of the month lately. It was so bad I used my hair cap that I use for deep conditioning on my back. I knew I had to stop being ratchet and actually get something meant to help me. I love that this product can be used cold or hot. I also like that it's a good size and would cover a great surface area. It's malleable. I just can't express how thankful I am to have such a great product in my household.
Dessie Harber
This is easily a great alternative to a hot water bottle. I love that it can be used for hot or cold therapy and that the cold doesn't freeze solid but remains pliable. The pack is well made and seems quite durable. Hubs used this several times when he was having back pain recently and it worked great.
Alejandra Rogahn
Cools quickly. I have 3 through I cycle past shoulder surgery
Lupe Douglas
Nice quality product. Fabric covering is comfortable on skin. It is fairly stiff right out of the freezer so best to removed it 10 minutes before using if you need it to conform to a body part you are applying it to.
Pete Graham
It is definitely worth the money I paid for it my body is in a lot less pain
Coy Bechtelar
This is the BEST ice pack I have ever used and I’m 59. Comfortable, large, retains cold and material is so much better than the normal ice pack. I would definitely get it
Francis Opega
My daughter plays a lot (and I mean a lot) of softball and she seems to get bumps and bruises all the time. This is a great ice pack to keep in the freezer. It gets used often and we have not had any issues with it at all.
Maegan Frami
Liked it works well ðŸ‘
Tabitha McClure
This pak is very similar to the one my physical therapist uses. I like the size and the fact that it is sectioned. Been using it for 3 weeks. I put it in the freezer and it holds the coolness well. This was a good purchase and would buy again.
Justine Reid
I like the size, comfort and flexibility or this gel pack. It freezes well and I use it after workouts for my ankles and knees that have seen their share of injuries. I also use it for my wrist that's experiencing carpal tunnel-like symptoms.
Fiona Lewis
Great product!
Aiden Windler
I have been using this mainly on my knee and for my feet (helps with plantar fasciitis pain). It stays cold for the 15-20 minutes I need it to and has good flexibility to it. I can't say how it works for hot therapy as I only got it for cold therapy but I'm happy with it for that.
Fred Badru
This is a great hot or cold therapy soft gel pack for injuries. It is coated with a material that lets the user put it directly on the skin. It will not cause condensation like other frozen ice packs. And it is so soft. It can be molded around painful injuries without causing more pain. I like that it can be frozen or heated to fit the needs of the injury. This ice pack is not some disposable "one and done" thing...it will last indefinitely. I am happy to have it in my medicine chest for emergencies.
Toluwani Afolabi
Great ice pack (or heat pack. Covers a large area, os flexible and remains cold for a long time. Heavy cover I hope will last for years.
Cecilia Kabuubi
This is a large ice/hot pack that you can either use to heat in the microwave or cool in the freezer and place on any part of your body for relief. It is large when opened 11 x 14.5 inches, but can fold smaller if desired. It is like a gel so it molds to your area which I really like for my calves. The only thing is I wish It came with some straps. I use some Velcro ones that I had around the house to hold it in place on my leg and it works great. This is also good for your back due to the large size.
Simon Lewis
When having young children this compact gel pack is perfect. It fold up nicely and doesn't take up much room in the freezer. No more wrapping paper towels around ice packs anymore because of this design it can be applied directly to the skin.
Karin Manamela
They are beautifully made and with a soft side that feels great against the skin. They heat up very well and are truly both HOT and COLD packs. I am so impressed by them! Thanks for a wonderful product. I was getting a frozen shoulder and these packs have cured it.
Claude Wyman
My older, smaller gel packs were starting to lose their efficacy and icing over more often than not so I decided to give this one a try. I wish I had switched sooner. . Not only is this pack great for hot and cold, but it is much more flexible when cold and covers a much larger area and comes covered already. My old pack I had to adjust from spot to spot to cover my back, but this one large enough to cover the center back from mid down and ice it in one sitting. . This works MUCH better than my older packs when icing my knees after squats and completely cover the entire knee and the bottom front quad and patella for a complete icing. . 5/5
Pearl Zondi
Flexible and sturdy. Good sized for many different uses. Retains temperature for an extended period. Will probably last for many years. You'll be glad you have this when you need it. 5 star rated.
Brandon Holmes
I use these types of packs for cold therapy only. I use heating pads if I want heat. For cold therapy this pack works very well and has the added benefit of folding up to a relatively small size so it can easily fit in the freezer or refrigerator. At full size it's approx 14" x 11' but folded it goes down to 11" x 5" which is easy to find a space for. I primarily use cold packs on my lower back and this is about the right size. Due to its flexibility it could easily be used on other body parts as well. The instructions on the pack itself talk about putting the pack in the "wrap's pouch." Unfortunately there is no pouch as indicated by the instructions on the box the pack comes in. It's not a big deal but a soft sided pouch would be nice. It would be even nicer if it had a way to secure the pouch in place. Personally, I just place it on the outside of a t-shirt and that works well. I hold it in place by sitting back against it. At the price, this is a very good deal and I highly recommend it.
Makinwa Ndukwu
This is a very large ice/hot pack. The edges are well done and don't cut into or dig into you while using. The weight is comfortable and best of all this doesn't cost a ton of money. When cold/frozen it is still easy - ish to mold or contour to you and when heated it does maintain a comfortable warmth for 30 minutes to an hour. Overall it is very good.
Oliver James
This ice pack arrived well packaged and there was no strange odor upon removing from the packaging. The gel packs are contained in a durable black cover which is definitely thicker than the average gel ice pack. I put the ice pack in the freezer and after a few hours the ice pack was cold but still soft enough to bend unlike other ice packs that I have used previously that freeze solid. This ice pack is on the larger side but you could fold it if you wanted to fit the ice pack into a smaller sleeve. The ice pack also came with a lifetime replacement warranty from the manufacturer. I can see this ice pack lasting for a long time and I would definitely recommend this product.

Reusable Ice Pack for Injuries (Hot & Cold Therapy) Soft Gel, Flexible Medical Grade Compress - Refreezable Shoulder, Rotator Cuff, Knee, Perinatal, Neck, Headache Pain Relief, First Aid, Cryotherap. . This well made Hampton Adams Reusable Ice Pack for Injuries is very large and easy to use. I used it on my knee and was able to get some relief. . Thank you so much for taking the time to read this review, have a FANTASTIC day!!
Ayebatari Olubunmi
Great for putting on large body parts like thighs, arm, and back. I like how there's a crease indentation to wrap around the first two mentioned. . Wish it included velcro strap band so you don't have to use hold straight in certain position. . Gel packs not removable. Don't recommend cutting into it unless you want to use duct tap. . Better suited for cold than hea. . There is some water condensation if you leave in fridge longer than 1 hour. Which is most likely seeing that it's rare to anticipate that you need it an hour before especially when an unforeseen accident happens. If you do it routinely you have to prep yourself beforehan. . It is large so can take up space in the freezer

I am trying two different ice packs. This one (11x14 inches) and another larger one (13x21.5 inches). This one is made by Hampton and the other larger one is made by Featol. . I like this one for wrapping around my knee and I like the larger Featol one for my back (because it’s larger). Both are gel packs and are flexible when frozen. Both can be used cold or warm (microwave or dunking in warm water). I only ever use them cold and they both work really well. . This Hampton is a plastic coating and fairly thick. The Featol is a little better because it is soft on one side and the other side is the same thick plastic cloth as the Hampton. . The Featol also comes with straps and this one does not. The Featol is more expensive and the Hampton is definitely more affordable. . I like having both these brands and either one is a good choice. I like to have a few ice packs in my freezer. I mostly use them when I have muscle pain or after exercise. They are also good for cooling off the body during time of hot temperatures.

This is not the largest gel pack for heat/cold application that I own. It may be one of the sturdiest, though. The gel inside feels like the gel in other packs. That's just speculation, since I am not in the habit of cutting these gel packs open. All of the gel packs that have gone into the freezer, have not thickened or solidified beyond being pliable. What I do appreciate about this product, the outer lining appears to have a good thickness, which gives it a more sturdy, durable feel. The general feel of the outer lining is similar to a vinyl substance. The product does warm up nicely, after a brief time in the microwave. I would advise using a towel or some cloth between the gel pack and your skin. In hot or cold mode, I think it's wise not to expose your skin to the either extreme. That is a lacking in this product. Other gel packs often include a soft fabric cover to insert the gel pack. This product is just the bare gel pack. It does include a simple, medium thickness zip lock pouch to store the gel pack. However, it is not the size of the gel pack, nor is it proportioned for the gel pack folded in half. So, it's an odd fit for the gel pack. Even though it's just for storing the gel pack, it should be better fitting. The product does match up to the descriptions and depictions in the product details. It functions very well for hot/cold therapy, while remaining quite supple. (Even though i only tested it with the microwave, that test went as expected. Accordingly, I assume it will assume the same performance for a cold application.. Based on these considerations, this sturdy, quality gel pack receives a 4.25 - 4.5 star rating, with a moderately high level recommendation.

I don’t use any medications, including over-the-counter anti-inflammatory ones for pain relief. For quite some time I was only using hot water bottles, that is until I received some gel packs. This Hampton Adams reusable hot / cold gel pack is a medium one measuring 11†x 14â€. It’s an excellent therapy pack, one that would have all kinds of applications, depending on what I want to use it for. . The directions are on the box, but also right on the pack, which is quite handy. The application can be either hot or cold and there are a few different preparation methods. The pack itself is made of a slick nylon, similar to others I’ve tried. The pack can be used in either a hot or cold application with a couple different methods for the hot. I do like the versatility the Hampton offers. . For cold application, the pack can be put in the freezer. It also says the pack can be heated either in the microwave or in a hot water method. Right now, I want a hot pack so tried it out in the microwave. My personal cautionary noted is to stand there when heating. I accidentally put more time on one pack than needed and ruined the pack. I heated this Hampton for the 90 seconds, took it out, kneaded it, and put it back for another a few 20 second intervals. The directions on the box differ from those on the pack and will vary, depending on your preparation method. . The two options for use, cold / hot, make this therapy pack a versatile one. The heat retention is quite good and lasts for some time. If I want more heat, I can simply return it to the microwave or a hot water bath. For less than $16, this is a price I wouldn’t see in a local pharmacy or medical store unless there was a deep discount sale. A very nice pack that’s well worth the asking price. . CERTIFICATIONS. . This can be used for cold and hot application (water or microwave method) with the instructions printed right on there so you can estimate how much time to microwave the pack for. The size is fairly large 11" x 14" so it covers a LOT of area which is great (wraps around the arm/leg nicely). If you want to only cover a small area, this may not be what you're looking for. I popped this in the microwave last week, threw it on my living room floor and literally just laid right on top of it. It felt so good on my achy back. I had to use a pillowcase as a cover because it was quite hot and the heat lasted for a couple of hours. I haven't had a need to use it as an ice pack, but I did put it my freezer to just to test it out. Since it's made of gel, it was really flexible when frozen which I imagine would be a lot more comfortable. It also makes freezing it a lot easier, despite it's large size. I don't know the exact material of the cover, but you can apply it directly on your skin and it won't stick to you. And it also comes with a lifetime replacement warranty!

large and therefore very heavy for my wife to use. It keeps things ver cold for a long time.
